FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023: German matches, groups, finals

When are the Basketball World Cup matches held?

The preliminary round will be held from August 25 to 30, and the group stage ends on September 3. Teams that did not reach the group stage will play in the classification from August 21 to September 2.

The quarter-final matches will be held on September 5 and 6. The two semi-final matches will be held on September 8, the final match on September 10, and then the third place match as well. The matches for places from fifth to eighth will be held on September 7 and 9.

When will the German national basketball team play in the Basketball World Cup?

The German national basketball team plays all of its preliminary round matches in Okinawa. The first match will take place on Friday 25 August against hosts Japan (2:10pm CET). On Sunday 27 August we will play against Australia (10:30 AM CEST) and on 29 August against Finland (9:30 AM CEST).
