Extraordinary visits to the National Council for Scientific Research to learn about science

Science is brain juice but it’s also fun and memorable moments. At the national level, the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS), for a period of 10 days, invites everyone to participate in extraordinary free visits. In its second edition, the Bacca region has ten, including eight in Marseille and two in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in Saint-Michel-le-Pervatoire.
To be able to participate in these extraordinary moments, you have to go to custom siteChoose your visit and answer three questions. Winners will be chosen because places are limited.

Run on Mars or explore the universe

This year, it’s heavy. The audience, body in a transparent plastic bubble to the waist, with a short step on a carpet, will be able to discover the magic of weightlessness. Even better, glasses on the nose allow you to find yourself on Mars in the blink of an eye thanks to virtual and augmented reality in complete immersion. A unique experience extending to the descent of the rug. The body regains its true weight, and in just 5 minutes on the carpet, gravity takes on its full meaning.

And if for the sake of change we will discover the universe? Our body subconsciously swims in a constant flow of elementary particles from the universe, the “cosmic rays”. Lying on a rug inside a cosmophone whose tracks around us are instantly embodied in the form of sounds. What if the universe became the leader of a musical composition?
