“You provided us with a safe space, a literary family.”

Sophie De Sivry liked the award sent by La Poste because it sends a strong signal At the beginning of the literary seasonwith a selection of first novels that will more often than not have a good run.

The literary season was a joy for Sophie, the joy of presenting books by authors that affirm their voices, and every year a book with a new voice. I know how keen she was to introduce others to Josephine Tassie’s voice. Who praised her boldness and talentR.

Sophie was an amazing editor, A very great ladysensitive, brilliant, protective, demanding, solar.

She had this rare ability to do that“Illuminate others with your light without dazzling.”, thus allowing the authors she chose, accompanied, to reveal themselves. You have provided each of us with a safe space, a literary family.

I am happy to be able to pay tribute to him today and I thank the jury of the Prix Envoyé par La Poste for this interest.

Almost every year since its inception, this jury has included the first novel of the literary season Iconoclasm In his selection, he was chosen twice to be the winner. There was Jean-Baptiste Andrea in 2017, whose fourth novel won the FNAC Novel Prize, and my writer Three sisters last year.

I remember Sophie’s joy then, with her hand in mine during the award ceremony, and all the Iconoclast members who were present that day. I kept a photo of her that I cherish, a photo of all of us, in which she shines The energy that Sophie hadIt is the home you have created, and whose future will be as bright as ever, we hope with all our hearts.
