The Lord of the Rings series: Charlotte Brandstrom directing the film
The highly anticipated Lord of the Rings series is currently filming in New Zealand. Swedish-French director Charlotte Brandstrom is now joining the team.
Director Charlotte Brandstrom (61) will actively support the team in the new “Lord of the Rings” series. Amazon Prime Video, the live streaming service, announced this in a statement. Accordingly, the Swedish-French director should be seated next to the director’s chair for two episodes of the eagerly awaited fictional series. It is associated with the work of Spanish director J.A. Bayona (46) and British-Chinese director Wayne Zhi Yip (40).
Brändström has been nominated for an Emmy Award several times during her career. The 61-year-old has directed more than 30 films and series. Most recently, she worked on the Netflix original series “Jupiter’s Legacy”, which brought her to # 1 on the worldwide streaming service charts.
The series plays thousands of years before “The Lord of the Rings”
The series is supposed to take place thousands of years before the events of “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings” by JRR Tolkien. However, well-known characters from Middle Earth such as Galadriel and Elrond are said to appear in the story. The scenes on the set are currently being filmed in New Zealand – but it is not yet known when they will be shown on Amazon Prime.
The main cast consists of Robert Aramayo, Owen Arthur, Nazanin Bunyadi, Tom Badge, Morphed Clark, Ismail Cruz Cordova, Emma Horvath, Marquela Caveena, Joseph Mull, Tero Mahfadin, Sophia Numvit, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith and Charlie Vickers. .
