Cinematic Arts Miramar – New Zealand (Sep/Oct 2023)

The French Embassy in New Zealand, in partnership with Victoria University of Wellington / T Teringa Waka – Miramar Creative Center is launching a new residency program allowing French artists and designers specializing in film and video games to be brought to Wellington. .

This residency offers a French artist the opportunity to immerse themselves in the New Zealand film and video game scene for one month in the heart of Miramar (Wellington). The neighborhood of the famous Weta group founded by Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor and Jimmy Selkirk.

This residency will allow the winner to work in close collaboration with Victoria University of Wellington / T Teringa Waka – Miramar Creative Centre. The resident will benefit from the facilities and activities of the university, and a work station will be provided for him. Many elements allow him to access high-quality professional experience and establish valuable contacts.

Residence “Miramar Cinematic ArtsIt is aimed at all artists who are well-established in graphics, animation, and design for the film and video game industries and who are able to demonstrate significant contributions to their field.

The winning artist will be hosted in the New Zealand capital from 26 September to 26 October 2023. He (she) will be housed in Sexton Cottage and will benefit from a return flight to Paris-Wellington as well as an accommodation allowance of up to NZ$500 per week.
