Russell Crowe mourns his father: John Alexander Crowe passed away at the age of 85 – two and a half weeks after his birthday.

John Alexander Crowe died, and his son Russell Crowe confirmed this to nearly three million followers on Twitter a few hours after his death. The New Zealand actor wrote: “I am posting this because I know there are people around the world who touched their hearts and laughed with his sparkling eyes and his shy demeanor towards everyone and everything.”
According to his first tweet, John Alexander Crowe died in Coffs Harbor on March 30 – two and a half weeks after his 85th birthday. “Today, even though the sun rises and the torrential rain subsides, this date will forever be sad. My dear old man, my beautiful father, the most gentle of men, has passed away,” Crowe continued.
John Alexander Crowe, wife Jocelyn and his three children immigrated from New Zealand to Australia in the late 1960s. For the past 25 years, John Alexander Crowe has lived in Coffs Harbor in North South Wales. He died there at the age of 85.
