OSF Digital said the acquisition aims to expand its presence in Australia and Zeeland. Adept was founded in 2010 as a project management consulting firm, but has since evolved into providing consulting and Salesforce services that cover a wide range of industries, including inter-company commerce. Adept clients include banking, retail and energy companies.

OSF Digital, which has more than 1,000 employees and 40 offices worldwide, said the acquisition will support its mission to become a “leading global partner in the digital transformation” of brands.

“This acquisition expands our presence in Australia, building on the coordination of our existing team in the Asia Pacific region,” said Gerard Zatvani, CEO of OSF Digital. “This decision also strengthens our position as a leading digital transformation partner for B2B and B2C brands that want to initiate or improve their digital strategies locally and grow globally.”

Founded in 2003, OSF Digital aims to assist brands on their digital transformation journey, particularly in relation to B2C and B2B commerce. OSF Digital provides services in a number of aspects of commerce, such as e-commerce, headless commerce, and online store management.

The company has also developed a number of business solutions, such as dedicated online stores for grocery sellers, large corporations, and FMCG companies. In addition to its products and services, OSF Digital also operates a Headless Commerce Technology Accelerator that enables brands to start using Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

The acquisition follows a C $ 52 million Series B financing round for OSF Digital. The proceeds from this round were to be used to support future acquisitions and expansion of the company into new territories, among other areas of business growth.

OSF Digital’s relationship with Adept began in 2019, when Adept joined the OSF Global Partner Alliance, allowing companies to enter into a strategic partnership with OSF.

“OSF executives note that the vision of the two companies is in line with the goal of providing business services between companies and business enterprises (B2B) and B2C,” said Szatvanyi. “As part of the company’s efforts and mission to become the leading global partner in the digital transformation of brands around the world, OSF is starting to view New Zealand and Australia as logical opportunities for expansion.”

Dominic Stowe, CEO of Adept, said the acquisition will allow Adept to better meet the needs of its B2B customer base, while helping B2C companies in the underserved region from a digital commerce perspective.

“There are few or no digital commerce service companies in the region that have the skills or experience to help B2C companies develop and implement their digital strategies – none of them have the strength or capabilities required,” added Stow.
