Intel Arc A770 Graphics Card Performance, GeForce RTX 2070 to RTX 3070

The Intel Arc A770 graphics card appears for the first time “explicitly” in the benchmarking database of Geekbench. We have an evaluation of its performance in OpenCL and some technical information.

The Intel Arc A770 graphics card will position itself in the segment of high-end “gaming” solutions. Its hardware will have a full ACM-G10 GPU. Geekbench identifies the card as the Intel Arc A770. The ACM-G10 GPU looks like a display interface. It’s part of the A7 offering that we already know certain references from, particularly in the area of ​​navigation with the Arc A770M and Arc A730M.

Intel Arc A770 graphics card, what do we know?

The Arc A770 will equip the graphics cards for our desktop computers. Its equipment includes 32 Xe-Cores for 4,096 ALUs and 32 ray tracing units.

Geekbench is reporting 12.7GB of VRAM which is probably an incorrect reading. It is logical and consistent to rely on 16 GB of GDDR6. On the frequency side, a GPU turbine at 2.4GHz max is enough to guarantee an FP32’s power of 20 TFLOPs.

As for performance, we scored 85,585 points in the OpenCL graphics benchmark. Right now, that number is low, especially for a card targeting the high end. On the other hand, it is possible that the graphics drivers used have not been optimized, knowing that those targeting the current entry level ACM-G11 are not yet optimized. So we can expect a significant increase in performance in the coming weeks. Currently, the card plays on par with the GeForce RTX 2070, which is enough to hope for performances that compete with the GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT during the official launch expected in the coming months.
