The year 1995 was the discovery of a planet orbiting another star. What if we are no longer alone in the universe! Since then, research expeditions have followed each other, as well as discoveries. In our galaxy, the Milky Way, we counted thousands of planets orbiting stars very different from the Sun. What surprise and questions for researchers aroused by these discoveries: the new planets turned out to be very different from those in our solar system.
We’ll draw a panorama of the exoplanets, from “super-Earths” to “hot Jupiters,” and present the many questions that their discovery raises.
