Elton John co-hosted the ‘YouTube Pride 2021’ live stream event

Marking Pride Month, which takes place every June and celebrates the diversity and achievements of the LGBTQI+ community, YouTube has announced a massive livestreaming event: “YouTube Pride 2021”. The digitally transmitted party is supposed to last five hours and is organized by seven moderators – one of whom is also superstar Elton John, as has now been officially confirmed by YouTube.

Along with her husband David Furnish, the musician joins a number of already confirmed acts, including singer Demi Lovato, first man of the years and years Olly Alexander, actor and comedian Moan Rezwan, drag queen and musician Trixie Mattel and YouTuber Daniel Howell. The live event will take place on Friday 25th June 2021 and should include appearances and presentations by distinguished guests as well as interactive elements.
