Baldur's Gate 3 lets you mix and match your character classes, but some players think some combinations are a waste of time.
Since Baldur's Gate 3 uses the D&D 5E rules, the game allows you to pursue multiple classes at once. The trade-off is that you'll lose high-level skills and spells, but gain access to more abilities, while weakening your specializations.
Unlike D&D 5E, which caps at level 20, Baldur's Gate 3 has a level cap of 12. This means players are limited in the ability to have multiple classes. In fact, it won't take long before you reach max level and run out of options.
