“Lord of the Rings: Rings of PowerIt was supposed to be filmed exclusively in Great Britain. But now there are only indications that the Amazon series will return to New Zealand for some scenes.
Informed fan site TheOneRing.net reports that filming will take place in Edinburgh (Scotland), Water Oakley (Great Britain) and Auckland (New Zealand) from October 7, 2022. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
Just commented recently Showrunners Patrick McKay and JD Payne on UK casting for the second season, Because Tolkien wrote mainly about Great Britain in his books.
