The FIFA Women’s World Cup is bigger than any World Cup before it: 32 teams compete in 64 matches for the title. ARD reports are more comprehensive than ever: in the first, in the ARD media library, in the sports shows app, on sportschau.de, in the ARD audio library, the ARD radio waves and the sports show’s social media channels.

For the “Down Under” host nations Australia and New Zealand, all ARD shows have a common slogan: “This World Cup is upside down!”. Caroline Quebecos first provided the soundtrack to World Cup matches with her song “Where I’m Here All Eyes”.

Within the ARD, NDR is responsible for the entire production of the World Cup programmes. The cross-media editorial team in Hamburg coordinates the collaboration with the small team on site in Australia and the sportschau.de editorial team in Cologne.

A highlight of the ARD program is the German team’s last group game against Colombia, live on July 30 from 11:30 a.m. on the 1st and in the ARD media library. ARD and ZDF show all games live on TV – optionally with audio description – or as a broadcast. If you can’t live in the morning, you can experience the full length of games on ARD broadcast days at the ARD Media Library. There, on sportschau.de and in the Sportschau app, there are also compressed summaries of all 64 World Cup matches.

ARD also makes the Women’s World Cup a listening experience. Full reports on the ARD radio waves, on sportschau.de and in the ARD audio library guarantee the fantastic football cinema in your head. ARD Radio’s programming also provides talks, news and stories about the DFB team and the World Cup.

Program overviews, interviews with commentators, data and facts about the World Cup as well as more information about the ARD program offering are available at ARD press file.
