Bayern Munich wants to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane as its new striker, who has been famous for a few weeks now. It was also said that Kane spoke in favor of moving to Munich. However, Tottenham rejected the first offer from Munich last week of €70m plus bonus payments. Now the Bavarians are said to have raised their offer to €80m. But this is still not enough for the English.

While Munich have high hopes for the striker, two former national players are now expressing doubts about the intended transfer.

“Does Harry Kane lack ambition?”asks former England international Stan Collymore in his own words Column in “Caughtoffside”.

The ex-pro represents the surprising thesis: “There is only one reason why Bayern Munich are making an offer for Kane – they overpriced him by £70m.” Apparently, Collymore does not expect serious offers from other clubs. Neither Manchester United, Real Madrid, Chelsea nor Manchester City could interfere with Kane’s transfer.

Tottenham coach plays a “dangerous game”

Harry Kane will soon be 30. Plus, his contract with Tottenham will expire next summer anyway. Then he can negotiate with potential buyers without Spurs chairman Daniel Levy. “I know he is a good businessman, but if he does not accept Bayern Munich’s offer, he will probably lose the best player of his club for nothing.”Notes by Stan Collymore by Daniel Levy.

Collymore advises England’s best player to switch immediately. However, he should take a more active role in the poker game between FC Bayern Munich and his remaining club, Tottenham. Although Kane played almost exclusively for Tottenham. However, he has not yet won the title with them. The change would also mean something to his profession.

“If Kane had continued to sit still and made it easy for Daniel Levy to turn down offers of £60-70m from a club like Bayern Munich, who always have a chance of winning the Bundesliga and the Champions League, he certainly didn’t really want to. Leave Tottenham,” says Collymore. He expects more ambition from a “global player”.

Bayern Munich: Marcus Babel does not believe in Kane’s qualities

Harry Kane is also a “fantastic striker” for former Bayern defender Marcus Babel. However, he does not doubt Kane’s mentality, but rather whether he is “100 per cent fit in with Bayern Munich”, as he says in Sky Sports interview. The 1996 European Champion explains:

“Because he’s the type of player who likes to drop into the midfield and get the ball from the midfield. I don’t see him as a classic player who stands at 16 and waits for balls to arrive.”

For him, Randall Kolo-Mwani from Eintracht Frankfurt or Victor Osimhen from SSC Naples, who were also traded, would be “ideal” for the German record champions. With Kolo Muani, they would get a player with tremendous qualities in the transitional game, while Osimhen had his qualities in the box above all else.

He does not see these qualities in Kane. “If the opposition is deep in the last 16, I don’t know if they have the ability to score goals in a small space.”

Tottenham boss Postecoglou is counting on Kane

While a potential move for football pundit Collymore can’t be completed soon enough, new Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is still counting on Harry Kane. In a press conference on Monday, the 57-year-old commented on the top attacker: “I want him to be there. My conversation with him will be about how we can make this club successful again.”

Of course, the coach has no insurance. But he very much expects Kane to remain loyal to Tottenham. It is likely that club chairman Daniel Levy will only consider a move if the bid reaches £100m. So the new coach may have at least some time to convince Kane.
