“The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse” as a movie
Many people know the magical story that goes around when they see the picture. Everyone else can look forward to the new discovery.
Apple TV+ will make the animated short available on December 25th. An exciting adventure with action? funny mess? No: the mini-film based on Charlie Mackesi’s bestseller tells the story of four friends. Exactly, we are talking about the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse. They are and will become best friends, sharing their doubts and fears, offering support to each other and reassuring each other that they are good, adequate, and loved just as they are:

But British author and illustrator McKeezy prefers to spread joy, safety and positive vibes directly with memorable images and endearing sentences without too much jitters. And he succeeds most of all with his truly great graphics and simple, emotional dialogues:
Now his bestselling book has been adapted into a movie and its characters are brought to life through hand-drawn animation (!). Apple TV + partners with the BBC to present the short film on Boxing Day.
