Unlike the Swiss women, the New Zealand national team has already qualified for the World Cup six times out of eight – although they haven’t won a match.

On June 30, the team led by Czech coach Jitka Klimkova announced its squad for the World Cup. There are veterans Ali Riley (153 matches) and Rhea Percival (161 matches), as well as attacking forces Olivia Chance (Glasgow Celtic) and Hannah Wilkinson (Melbourne City). In addition, 30-year-old Rebecca Stott is back on the team after a cancer survivor.
