Race 1: WHODAT SINGA seems to have been ready for some time, through no fault of connections he has been unable to resume due to abandonments, he is back from Hong Kong and has had a lot of gear adjustments, his trial win in October says he will win a race at short notice. PACIFIC COAST won well enough 3 starts back and has been thereabouts since then without much luck. That luck will change with O BOSSON taking over the reins, each way. SILVER CLOUD won easily fresh up and fair in two runs since, better than that, include in all multiples from the good draw.

Race 2: Best bet THE GARRISON ran a nice 2nd on debut after winning a trial in good style, again has the benefit of a 3KG claim and with that race day experience he should be hardest to beat. BONDIWALK has the breeding and did look forward when winning a recent trial, watch closely. RED MAX has had the 4 trials for 2 wins, he was 2nd at his latest but did it easily, ace draw and home track makes him a danger, watch for any market support. MUMMS JEWEL was a beaten favourite last start but might have found the 1400 metres too far, the fact that astute trainers are persevering is a good indication that she is doing well, allow another chance. VELOCHEETAH on debut and runner up to an impressive race day winner at her only public trial, watch closely. SEPELLA local filly who was given a quiet trial in preparation for this, stable striking from, each way in what should be a nice form reference contest.

Race 3:  FASTELLIE has had her return curtailed by abandonments and now gets a nasty draw, she will be fit and ready to go, won her latest trial and has blinkers added, each way value. RUNNING MAN took ground of a promising type when 2nd last start and will take a lot of improvement out of that run, draw is perfect, must win a maiden soon. MONACO really flew home last start and will relish the extra 200m that this race offers.

Race 4: Best bet MADURO looks the obvious, he loomed up last start and then just peaked on his run, going back to 1300m looks perfect, deserves to break through. VALETTI has had plenty of trials winning his last in June, sure to be forward in condition and with J Waddell on first time he looks a good each way chance from the good draw. CHURCH ROAD has improved at each of his 3 starts this season, he was particularly unlucky last start when getting clear late and running home for 7th, only needs some clear air in the straight to be thereabouts at good odds. CALL ME MURPHY has had a small let up since finishing on for 7th at his home track, he has shown enough ability to be a solid each way chance from the ace draw, he has been kept up to the mark with a recent trial.

Race 5: A very open maiden 1400 to start the quaddie, best bet RIDING THE WAVE was a beaten odds on favourite on debut after an impressive trial win, he should have finished closer than 3rd after getting held up, he has some ambitious goals and would have improved further with that run, from the ace draw he will be extremely hard to beat, follow your money. SUPER GEE has been an impressive trial winner on 2 occasions, a lot is expected from this fellow and he is only going to get better, watch closely from his good draw, one to follow. LUMBERJACK was disappointing last start but had no chance really after getting so far back, he has won a trial since and with the blinkers added he will improve sharply, each way. SIR AGLOVALE carried a fair bit of support on debut after an easy trial win, he got a bit lost and ended up further back than he should have been, better for the run and backs up fairly quickly on his home track which is always a good sign, expect a better run here. SPRING BOUQUET made up plenty of ground on debut and has been given plenty of time to get over that run, the 1400m today will suit, watch for her late, include in all multiples.RIDING THE WAVE finishing 3rd in his debut at Pukekohe for the Nigel Tiley stable when a $1.70 favourite

Race 6: Best bet LITE MY CIGAR has put the writing on the wall that a winning effort is close with his last start 3rd when he ran out of room late, this was following a strong finishing 3rd fresh up, he is likely to settle handier today and will be running on at the finish. HOUSE OF CARTIER has had plenty of market support in both runs to date and in both she has been finding the line, blinkers have been added to sharpen her up and could be the key to her finding winning form, will not be a maiden for long. TROUBLE has a reputation and was a beaten favourite when resuming after racing greenly and getting trapped wide, once again he has drawn wide but J Waddell should negate that obstacle, would have improved with the run, expect better here and follow your money. Ignore the run of SHE’S FOXY at her last start where she had no luck, her debut effort is a better guide to her ability where she ran on nicely for 5th, the extra 200m will also suit, don’t dismiss.                                 LITE MY CIGAR finishing 3rd last start at Te Aroha when the $3.90 favourite

Race 7:  ANCIETA just peaked on her run over the mile last start after two promising runs over this distance to start her campaign, likely to get back from the tricky draw but with some luck in the straight can be fighting out the finish, each way value. CONCERT HALL will be better over further distances but did win on debut and was given an easy trial early last month, from the good draw she can be expected to be running on strongly, each way and one to follow with confidence this season. TERRITORY won his only start in Ireland, was given an easy time when 3rd at a recent trial, L Innes sticks with him which is a good pointer and stable has a knack of getting these imports up and running early on, watch for any market leads. PITCH AND SWITCH getting back to her best form again, she made up plenty of ground last start after being slow away, the step up to 1400m looks tailor made and she gets an important jockey change with O Bosson taking over, cannot overlook her chances. CAMPOBASSO indicated his readiness when placing at a recent trial he is backing up quickly from that effort and with the 3KG claim he will be thereabouts, wet track no problem. For odds consider MANHATTAN FLAME he was caught in the worst of it down on the inside last start and couldn’t make up ground, he is stepping back in grade and his form should improve as a consequence, 4KG claim also aids his chances.CONCERT HALL winning her debut at Matamata on 14th March & expected to go well in a fresh-up state.

Race 8: Best bet IMPERIOUS jumped from the 1200m to the 1600m last start and fought hard for her 2nd placing after working hard and hitting the front prior to the run home, as that was only 2nd up she will have taken natural improvement from that and must be hard to beat here from the ace draw with O Bosson riding. SUPERSTITION was spotted making up plenty of ground late after finding trouble in the straight, she will have to go back from the wide draw but will enjoy the long run home, watch closely and one to follow going forward. OUT OF THE PARK is building nicely to a win, she started the season with a brace of 3rds then was very unlucky in a good field at Ellerslie and followed that with a nose 2nd at Tauranga, likely to get a good trip from the draw and will get one soon. RUSALKA stepped up in distance and immediately improved her form, she has been taken along quietly and been given plenty of time by connections, she will be that much better 3rd up and can get a piece of the action here at nice each way odds. For odds TRIOMPHE was steaming home on debut after getting checked half way down the straight, the further they go the better he will get, the 3 KG claim looks to be an assist, include in all multiples.IMPERIOUS finishing 2nd last start at Te Aroha & should prove hard to beat from barrier 1
