One particularly lucky Pokémon Go player is thanking Arceus, after he finally completed a field research quest that was years in the making, and the reward was better than he could have imagined.
In Pokémon, embarking on the endless quest known as “Catch Them All” is one thing. But, if you're even remotely interested in competitive battles, finding rare Pokémon with good stats is a whole other challenge.

A Pokémon Go player named u/jasdanu_36 shared a post on Reddit, proudly showing off a very lucky catch where he was able to obtain a Mew with perfect stats from a field research mission after years of effort.
They share comments alongside the post saying: “The Gods of Randomness have blessed me!”

Then they explain in more detail, adding: “Posted last night about finally being able to evolve a Magikarp to complete the 'Legendary Discovery Special Study'. Well, I just finished that and got a perfect meow. I can't believe it. All these years and study on hold and it ends with a 4*”.

Other players shared their surprise and jealousy in the comments, with one saying: “Jesus, I see what you have done for others and I want it for myself.”
Another player takes the opportunity to show his captivity, responding by saying: “Not to brag but I have a lucky Shundo, a purified Mewtwo.”.

Meanwhile, one of the players shared that they achieved the same feat, saying: “I also got 100% Mew, I use it on my big league team to cover my weaknesses.”.
The person behind the original post replies: “I wasn't expecting to get a good one. As the Dragon event went on, I've only been getting crappy IVs across the board. So seeing a 4* hotel was a pleasant surprise.”
Finally, another player encourages them to level up, adding: “Man, this is what you need to take and use in the major league.”
