Kyle Jamieson won his five loot out of five wickets in his eighth Test Match appearance
Kyle Jamison scored his fifth Test cricket round with five wickets to put New Zealand ahead in the World Test Championship final against India at the Ageas Bowl.
Despite recovering from 146-3, India was eliminated for 217 as Jamieson – with only his eighth test game – produced 5-31 records in 22 matches.
In response, it was the New Zealand newcomer who impressed, Devon Conway (54) who made his third +50 in his fifth test only as he finished the Black Cabs 101-2 after a convincing third day.
Conway must have regretted the unusual lack of focus when he succumbed momentarily before the bad light prematurely ended the proceedings, to give India a boost before the fourth day.
However, it was a frustrating day for team Kohli, who lost seven wickets in just 71 races, as the massive New Zealand quartet took control, with Neil Wagner (2-40), Trent Bolt (2-47) and Tim Southey (1). -64) All between wickets.
Tom Latham (30) and Conway have built a solid podium for New Zealand, and Black Cabs duo Ken Williamson (12 no) and Ross Taylor will be tasked with leading their mission on Day 4.
Jamieson inspires Black Caps response

India took the lead before the third day, although a brilliant display of Black Caps bowling – led by Jamieson – shifted the pendulum.
The 26-year-old won a precious scalpel from Kohli (44) in his second round of the day; The Indian captain lbw was besieged with a full surrender formed, and Kohli’s desperate examination did not succeed.
Jamison went on to explain the destroyer Rishabh Pant (4), which had been subjected to constant discipline and hostility to the intractable New Zealand seamstress’ attack.
Southpaw encountered 19 straight scoring balls before opening his account with one stroke through the center wicket, but as he searched for another limit, Pant died – flashing hard outside his torso and snapping Latham on the second slide, which took a great reflexive grip.
Ajinkya Rahane, 49, inexplicably gave up his wicket after a fight with such confidence under test conditions. The Indian vice captain fell straight into a New Zealand trap, deflecting a stranded short telegraph delivery from Wagner to the square-legged Latham.
The adventurous cameo of Ravichandran Ashwin helped India pass 200, but after surrendering to Southee at lunchtime, New Zealand mercilessly rips their tails off.
Jamieson Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah pulled in back-to-back deliveries to seal his five-wicket transfer in style, before BJ Watling cleverly took in Bolt’s legs to fend off Ravindra Jadeja’s caution (15).
Conway and Latham build a solid platform

New Zealand’s performance for most of the day was marked by the match test plan. They were destroying the ball and trying hard to tackle the racket.
Conway and Latham negotiated their way through a grueling afternoon session. The tea arrives unscathed in 36-0 out of 21 overs.
Mohamed El Shami played great without a reward. The geometric stitch action is stunningly designed and both openers confused with sharp bounces out of the box, but Latham in particular showed impeccable judgment outside of his torso.
New Zealand’s first players were not deterred as they advanced to 70-0 in an overall mediocre fashion, but Ashwin made the biggest breakthrough; Latham pushed forward with a stolen delivery and took Kohli net in an extra short cap.
That didn’t dampen New Zealand’s momentum, as an unfazed Williamson delivered a blow to Conway, who continued his voracious desire for racing by lifting half a century of fighting off 137 balls.
However, Southpaw couldn’t survive late in India, delivering a stem leg from Ishant to Shami halfway, to leave this competition in great balance ahead of Monday’s game.
