Here are the destinations in the green on the ECDC map

MAlte joins the list of Green Zone destinations updated every week by FPS Foreign Affairs on Monday, along with Iceland, western Finland and the Finnish Aland region. The Spanish region of Murcia will turn red from Wednesday.

Every Sunday, the State Department compiles an inventory of travel destinations based on data and standards from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). All countries of the European Union and the Schengen Area are shown in red, with a few exceptions.

Orange areas

Parts of Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Spain, Finland, France, Norway and Poland were colored orange when they were red last week.

On the other hand, the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, northern and eastern Finland, northern Norway and the Norwegian region of Trondelag leaves green and turns orange.

Bulgaria, Hungary, Monaco and Vatican City are no longer red, but rather orange travel destinations. Southern Denmark, Ireland, Portugal, Romania and San Marino remain orange.

Outside the European Union and Schengen

For countries outside the European Union and the Schengen Area, nothing has changed: they are in red except for Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore and South Korea (green), as well as Thailand (orange).
