A video leaked on social media shows Barcelona and France star Ousmane Dembele mocking Asians because of his background and appearance.
The short clip shows three men, allegedly hotel technicians, gathered around a television screen to try to operate it.
Dembele is said to be the person who records the men’s group on the social networking application “Snapchat”, where he photographs them with their French star, Antoine Griezmann.
The young winger is said to make fun of the appearance of Asian men, as well as the alleged “technological progress” of his country.
Dembélé seems to be telling Griezmann: “All those ugly faces, just so you can play PES. [Pro Evolution Soccer]Don’t you feel ashamed”
Then he apparently adds, “What kind of backward language is this?” and “Are you technologically advanced in your country or not?”
The camera has focused on Griezmann a few times and the Barcelona star seems to be laughing all the time.
Dembele can also be heard laughing occasionally during the clip.
The short video was posted on social media on Friday, but it is believed to be an old clip.
Daily Star Sport has contacted Barcelona and the French Federation for comment.
Griezmann’s haircut in the video differs from the one he wore at the European Championship before France left Switzerland on penalties.
Reports in the Netherlands say the video goes back to 2019, when Barcelona spent time in Japan on their pre-season tour.
If that schedule is correct, Griezmann has just joined La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.
We know that the striker was close to Dembele during his time at the Camp Nou and his exploits in the national team.
However, Griezmann is already mired in a storm of racism.
In 2017, he sparked outrage on social media by sharing his fictional outfit which saw him take a photo with a black face while he was dressed as the NBA player.
France’s Griezmann and Dembele saw their Euro glory fading after losing on penalties to Switzerland in the Round of 16.
However, the latter was already watching the tournament on the sidelines after injuring his knee.
