Duke on the big screen
In addition to the Legendary, Jean Julien Baronnet (Assassin’s Creed) from Marla Studios is also present as a producer. Marla Studios specializes in video game modifications.
again Hollywood Reporters Reports, a search is underway for a screenwriter. There’s no way out yet, but the door is open for Heald, Horowitz and Schlossberg to sit in the director’s chair themselves.
Attempts have been made to bring Duke Nukem to the big screen for a while. For example, Gearbox has been working with Paramount for over four years on an idea with John Cena in the lead role.
It will be the second largest cinema project in which Gearbox is currently involved. A Borderlands movie is also being produced, which will be directed by Eli Roth as well as stars Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart, among others. Borderlands is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2022.
