Guns N’ Roses is currently on a European tour, but there will be no concert in Scotland due to medical advice. There is an appearance in Munich in two days. Should German rock fans worry now, too?

The American band Guns N’ Roses had to cancel a concert that was scheduled for yesterday evening in Glasgow, Scotland. “Unfortunately, due to illness and medical advice, GN’R will not be able to perform (…) in Glasgow. We are working on rescheduling this show. Please keep your tickets and wait for another update. Thank you for your understanding and patience,” he wrote on Instagram channel of musicians surrounding singer Axel Rose and guitarist Slash.

Many fans have expressed disappointment at the postponement of the Guns N’ Roses concert in Glasgow. Like the Glasgow Times They reported that they were “absolutely disappointed” that the party wouldn’t last after waiting two years to see the legendary rockers play in town. The original date has been pushed back in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Quite a few have already traveled to Glasgow to see the band, or have been unable to pay for accommodation and travel. “This is the third postponement – and a third paid and wasted hotel,” one fan was quoted as saying. And another: “I’ve been looking forward to this since I got tickets as a birthday present in 2019.” A third resigned: “I will not see them alive.”

Fans hope for Axel’s recovery

Although his name has not been given, many seem to believe that 60-year-old singer Axl Rose has been affected. The Instagram post read: “Hope Axl recovers soon, his health is the most important thing at the moment. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for him and the whole band from here in Brazil. Axl is very popular and can count on our support and affection account.”

Another follower is more specific: “Axl should rest his voice and take care of his mental state! Cutting the playlist to two hours and playing the songs a little slower and in lower tones will help Axl and the band! Take care of yourself, my idol!”

However, it is not clear what the postponement means for the upcoming concert as part of their world tour. Because there is no other information yet. On the band’s website The appearance at the Munich Olympic Stadium next Friday is still scheduled as usual. On Sunday, the tour’s entourage will stop in Milan, Italy.
