A “Ciné Pop” evening, free and open to all, is being organized on Friday, December 15, in the youth area of Ouray, near Otting Park. This fifth edition, which will be preceded by a shared meal with Cabanatos, will present a series of short film screenings, in two stages, under the auspices of the Association Vidéo Graphie Auray.
As in previous meetings, Adeline Boit formed a team to prepare for this evening, with the help of Maël, the intern, and Arnaud from the local mission. Coleen, Elise, Eloane, Kilian and Louise have met several times since the beginning of December to create a program of six short films, based on the general question “Where are the youth?” “.
Enriching exchanges
“They chose from a pre-selection of ten films, chosen by Adeline and I out of 40 works proposed by the Short Film Agency, around the keyword ‘youth,’” explains Mael. These observations led to discussions that were “not sterile discussions but a real enrichment of exchanges between all participants,” emphasizes Louise. “Even if there were some differences, we quickly agreed on the program,” Kilian adds.
A program of films that exist separately, but when viewed together, “manage to tell a story and build a discourse about the world,” as defined by the Short Film Agency. In this particular case, the six stories will discuss career orientation, fashion, sports, identities, fast or slow, intergenerational relationships, gender…
The first part will screen three short films, produced in October 2023 by a group of eight young Alerians during a video graphics production workshop supervised by director Olivier Brodeur, writer Marie Wedel, and musician Jovan Moreau.
