This is how New Zealand is drastically suffocating the Corona outbreak
It’s Sunday when the New Zealand authorities immediately called a press conference – it is being broadcast live on all channels. The reason: A 56-year-old woman contracted the mutation in South Africa, although she stayed in a quarantine hotel in Auckland for two weeks after arriving from Europe and tested negative twice there.
It’s the first case since November: The typical country was previously Corona-free! The affected person has a fever and slight chills – but with a slight cough. Two people in her home did not catch her – they will be examined immediately -. However, they are isolated.

But the woman was outside and after leaving the quarantine hotel, she was in the restaurants. Authorities are now trying to immediately trace all of the woman’s communications. The Ministry of Health posts various warnings and information about the woman’s whereabouts on Twitter. And this was used by the national Covid app.
Each site visited is listed, 32 in number. People who have been there at the same time are required to isolate themselves immediately. Authorities are informally building extra-terrestrial testing centers. Instant notifications are sent to the cell phone of all people who have been in the respective building.

All communications of the woman are in isolation
But how was the woman injured? The checks and inspections with the surveillance camera revealed: The woman was infected with another person in the hotel two days before her release. And here, too, the authorities interact: hotel accommodation for all travelers is automatically extended.
Residents help: After the news and the press conference, long queues form in front of the test centers. Some wait hours in their cars – with outdoor temperatures of 28 degrees. The New Zealand Herald reports that more than 1,500 people have taken the test, all of them negative. The 56-year-old was limited to 154 people, all of whom are now in isolation.
The only new positive cases were discovered in two people who had traveled from Japan and Portugal. They were placed in isolation at the airport. (new)
