Nominations without German participation – fernsehserien.de

The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced the nominations for the 2021 International Emmys: this time there are actors from 24 countries in eleven categories – according to the academy, this is a new record. This year, however, it was not considered: Germany.

So when the winners are announced on Monday, November 22 at an event in New York City, there will definitely be no German representative. This was true for the last two editions as well, but at the time there were at least two German participants in the race: Season 2 of “Charité” by UFA Fiction and Emma Bading for her performance in the TV movie “Play” (both formats ran in the first), respectively “Bad Banks” and Jannis Niewöhner from “Beat”. Germany’s last win at the International Emmys is credited to Anna Schudt’s Gaby-Köster-Bio-Pic account “It would have been cold enough” in 2018.

Nominations

The British series is particularly noteworthy about the nominations “from”, who works through the investigation and conviction of a serial killer – nominated as a miniseries and for leading actor David Tennant. There are also two seasons to coordinate “The Masked Singer” Candidate: One from the United Kingdom and one from Mexico.
