Members of the Ustaritz Youth Space created an urban painting as part of a citizen project. In fact, they rehabilitated the marked bus station by creating a mural, in the creation of which they were accompanied by decorative painter Marin Castanget.

Since the bus shelter is located in the town of Gatsoar, members of the Ostaritz Youth Center – which also welcomes teenagers from the municipalities of Gatso, Halsu and Larisori – met with the mayor of Gatsoar in advance to present the project to him and present him with several projects. drawings so he can choose one. The opening took place on Thursday, April 25, in the presence of the concerned young people, Lian, Chloe, Emma, ​​Zane, Mathis, Lilo, Luna, Sasha, Eniko, Hugo, Mayalyn, Philemon, Nahia and Luna, as well as Gatso and Ostarets education assistants, representatives of the two municipal mayors.

A “meaningful” project.

This project, which aims to “make young people active in their municipalities by making them aware of respecting and beautifying their municipalities”, is also part of the Global Regional Compact (CTG) signed by all Europian municipalities. The overall objective of this agreement is to implement projects at the municipal and community levels, with a special focus on youth.

The project coordinator, Elodie Lafitte, wanted a project “meaningful for young people and a local identity by choosing to work with Marine Castanget (Créa Maitia), who has notably implemented figurative projects about Alzheimer’s disease in a dispatch in the province.
