Three days into the race, Corbin Strong leads the way on the Tour of Britain. Belgium’s Camille Bono won the third stage on Tuesday.

In the shadow of the Vuelta, the 2022 edition of the Tour of Britain kicks off on Sunday in Scotland where Corbin Strong (Israel-Premier Tech) won the first stage. The next day at the end of stage two, the New Zealander finished third while Dutchman Cess Paul (Team DSM) took the lead from Dons. Enough performance to hold first place in the general classification. And this Tuesday at the end of the third day of racing, Corbin Strong held onto his hard drive.

The four fugitives resisted that day and chased after their thoughts. In Sunderland at the Red Banner the last mile, Alexander Richardson (Alpecin-Deceuninck) was unsuccessful in losing his three renegade comrades despite numerous attempts to let them down. And so Mathijs Passions (Pingual Bowles Sauce WB), Ben Perry (Astana Kazakhstan) and Camille Bono (Novo Nordisk) kept their hopes of a victory by about twenty seconds over Peloton.

Bonneu Tilt Attack

They are the last names on this list at the expense of a sharp attack that surprised everyone by crossing the line first in front of Canadian Perry and Briton Richardson. Batave Paasschens, though very active in regularly annihilating Richardson’s attacks, was not rewarded by finishing the fourth race. Thanks to the rewards given to first-comers, Ben Perry has the same time as Corbin Strong in the general classification but does not kick out the New Zealander from the throne of leadership. This Thursday, Stage 4 will take the Redcar Peloton to Duncombe Park, Helmsley. A flat stage that can nonetheless appeal to the daring due to its two climbs in the last thirty kilometers and completion of slopes.
