Another novelty concerns historic trains, in a major revival after the long 2020 halt imposed by the pandemic and lockdowns. In fact, the historic train returns on Sunday 28 November 2021 to the Langhe Ruero Monferrato Railway. The old caravan will leave Turin Porta Nuova at 8.35 a.m. and arrive in Canelli at 10.40 a.m., traversing splendid trails among the picturesque hills of Piedmont featuring extensive vineyards. A center famous for its underground cathedrals, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This was reported by the Fs . Foundation

Once in Canelli, three exclusive 360-degree premium experiences are planned for travelers on the historic train, including the food and wine franchise, culture and wine production.
Experience 1: Historic train trip (round trip), guided tour of Bosca’s underground cathedrals, UNESCO World Heritage with wine tasting; Lunch at a partner restaurant and a guided tour of Canelli.

Historic train
The convoy will consist of a diesel locomotive with carriages and luggage “Centoporte” from the 1930s (in order to further protect the health of travelers and employees, the FS has activated measures and initiatives to prevent the spread of coronavirus). For the return flight, departure from Canelli is scheduled for 4.40pm with arrival in Turin Porta Nuova at 6.50pm.
