SpaceX launches 22 new Starlink internet satellites into space

Private space company SpaceX placed 22 new Starlink satellites into orbit on Thursday, October 5.

These satellites were launched on Thursday at 1:36 am EST by a Falcon 9 rocket from the Space Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida, according to the company.

The Falcon 9 rocket’s first stage re-entered the atmosphere and landed on the Just Read the Instructions carrier drone parked in the Atlantic Ocean.

This is 70H SpaceX will launch this year, according to the company.

Starlink satellites are expected to provide high-speed, broadband internet to areas where internet access is unreliable, expensive or completely absent, according to SpaceX.
