Sebastien Buemi signs for Envision Racing in Formula E.

Sebastien Buemi, 33, has found a new team to continue racing in Formula E.

“It’s an exciting time to be in Formula E,” the Swiss driver said, referring to the arrival of the new third-generation single-seater next season. “I’ve always had a lot of respect for this team, and I think they’ve done a great job maximizing their results over the past few years,” he continued.

Buemi, which has been developing in the discipline since its inception in 2014, has so far only been involved in the e.dams chassis, first in collaboration with Renault and then with Nissan. Season two champion, and a three-time runner-up, the Swiss has achieved 13 successes, 29 podiums and 14 pole positions in 98 Formula E races.

But the last two seasons have fallen far short of his expectations. Buemi finished 15th last season with 30 points and 21st in the seventh season (20 points). His last success returns to New York in 2019.

At Envision Racing, New Zealander Vodua will have Nick Cassidy (28) as a member of the team. He has a victory in discipline.
