“Rote Rosen” – program change on first has been cancelled: this is run instead
Germany is out, but the World Cup continues, and with it changes to the programme. Viewers will have to do without these shows today.
This time the Women’s World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand. It started on July 20 in Auckland. There will be 64 matches before the winners are crowned on August 20 at Sydney Stadium.
For Germany, the dream of a major title ended after just two weeks. On August 3, the German national team was eliminated from the tournament after a 1-1 draw with South Korea. However, the departure of the German women’s national team does not mean the end of the World Cup. ARD and ZDF will continue to show individual games.
August 7 on ARD
Two matches are scheduled for Monday: England vs. Nigeria and Australia vs. Denmark. Both matches will be shown on television – on ARD. The report begins at 9:05 a.m. The first match starts in 25 minutes. The match between Australia and Denmark starts at 12.30pm.
- 9.30 am: England – Nigeria
- 12:30 pm: Australia – Denmark
In order for ARD to be able to show the two matches on television, it had to remove several formats from the programme. Popular programs such as “Crazy for the Sea” and “Red Roses” cannot be shown due to the World Cup.
- 9:55 AM: “Crazy Sea”
- 10.45am: ‘Masters of Everyday Life’
- 11.15am: “Question – stalker”
- 12.15pm: “ARD buffet”
- 1:00 PM: “Lunch Journal” (Watch on ZDF channel)
- 2:10 p.m.: “Red Roses”
In the coming days, the audience can expect many changes to the program, although most of them relate to the morning period. Due to the time difference with New Zealand and Australia, football matches start between two in the morning and two in the afternoon, German time. Therefore, evenings are exempt from program changes.
