On Tuesday, May 30, the gendarmes of the Trevaux Brigade were present on the town hall square. It was not a repressive intervention but within the framework of an informational mission protected by the forces of the regime, promoted by the Ministry of the Interior: with the help of leaflets distributed and dialogue with the persons encountered, they provide information on the “safety of women in the public space “: how to behave as a victim of aggression? To come forward and warn the police (XVII). How do you also behave after the attack? By filing a complaint but also as a witness during the attack (intervention without exposing himself to danger, alert) and afterwards: assisting the victim and informing the security forces. The gendarmes will multiply this type of intervention in public places: markets, shops, reception points, etc.
