Reveal the schedule of preparatory matches for France’s fifteenth matches

The schedule of France’s fifteenth fixture ahead of the 2023 Rugby World Cup is now known. For their prep matches, the Blues will play four matches. Fabien Galtier’s men will face Scotland twice, then Fiji and finally Australia.

The French XV will play four preparation matches for the 2023 World Cup in August, including three at home, against Scotland twice, then against Fiji and finally against Australia, the French Rugby Federation (FFR) officially announced on Wednesday night. The Blues, who will play the World Cup at home (September 8 – October 28), and in which they are one of the favorites, will start the “Summer Nations Series” on August 5 at Murrayfield.

They will then host their XV du Chardon at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Etienne on 12 August, before going to Nantes, in La Beaujoire, to welcome Fiji there on 19 August. On August 21, the list of 33 players who will play in the World Cup will be revealed, ahead of the final match against Australia at the Stade de France on August 27.

Preparation stage

In the meantime, a group of 42 players, whose names will be announced on June 21, will have completed different training courses: in Carpiagne (Bouches-du-Rhône), within the Foreign Legion, from June 26 to 28, then in Monaco from 2 to July 14th.

From July 24 to August 3, the Blues will find Marcoussi’s CNR before meeting in Capbreton (Landes) from August 7 to 25, as they begin their preparation for the 2023 Six Nations. France will play their opening match in the World Cup on September 8 against the New Zealand All Blacks.
