Players modify cars in Red Dead Redemption 2 and turn them into GTA 6: Incredible!

Red Dead Redemption 2 with modern vehicles is probably the most modern thing I've seen this week, although it's also pretty…

God bless the amendments. A good set of mods can completely change a game forever, sometimes becoming entirely new games. Since Rockstar Games has flat-out refused to add much new content to Red Dead Redemption 2, the work has largely fallen to modders to update and improve the Western game with new additions and tweaks.

Such a change would seem to be the closest thing we'll get to playing GTA VI before it comes out next year, which is simply regular Red Dead Redemption 2 but with working cars.

I'm sure I don't need to explain how incredibly cursed he is. Watching Arthur Morgan drift across the desert in a sports car should not only be real, but it's also awe-inspiring. The Reddit user who demonstrated this brutality, PsychologyMight26, made this bold claim, saying: “Just mod vehicles in Red Dead Redemption 2 and they're a prototype for GTA VI.”

It's clear that Rockstar's next game will have a little more to it than that, but they're not entirely wrong. Red Dead Redemption was a huge step forward from GTA V in terms of open world size, detail, and other graphical improvements. From what we've seen of the latest GTA VI trailer, it will be another step forward in quality, boasting a world the size of a US state and showcasing the most advanced AI ever seen in a video game.

The game is scheduled to be released on an undisclosed date in 2025, and players' desperation has clearly reached such high levels that they are introducing modern technology into Red Dead Redemption 2 just to get a sense of what GTA VI should be like.

It's unfortunate that players can't add modern medicine to save Arthur at the end of the game…
