papers. Alaé visits the Cité de l’Espace
The Leisure Center associated with the school (Alaé) recently moved to the Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse.
Throughout the day he provided a guide for the kids to the site and it was a very rewarding day. Schoolchildren got to see an Ariane rocket that they felt was too small in front of it, a model of the International Space Station (ISS) where Thomas Pesquet was accomplishing a mission not so long ago. In the exhibition hall, they were able to see everything that was done about the study trips to the moon and to see the “moonstone” up close and a sample of sand that was brought from there. After a snack break, in the afternoon, the kids went to the IMAX space where they watched a 3D movie called “Asteroid Hunter”. Finally, after visiting the former Russian space station Mir, they found themselves in the planetarium where, in addition to deciphering the sky and its stars, they were shown an interactive documentary where they were able to prove their knowledge of the subject.
A great initiative that is both entertaining and full of lessons for this area that has always fascinated children.
