Nicolas Cage revealed in an interview why he canceled his roles in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Matrix’.
Nicolas Cage (58) has In an interview with the American magazine “People” He revealed that he could have starred in two blockbuster movies, but he canceled the roles. “There is no version of Nic Cage that the family hasn’t beaten on her career. I turned down Lord of the Rings and rejected The Matrix because I didn’t want to go to New Zealand for three years or Australia for three years,” the actor explained. Instead, he wanted to be at home with his son Weston.
He will be a father for the third time
Cage is currently expecting to have children with his wife, Rikko Shibata, 27, for the first time. He already has two sons, Cal L (16) and Weston (31), from previous relationships. Cage will soon return to the big screen: In “Massive Talent” (theatrical release: April 21, 2022), Cage plays a fictional version of himself who accepts an awkward job due to severe financial difficulties. For a million dollars, he must appear as a guest star at the birthday party of his biggest fan, performed by the mime Pedro Pascal “The Mandalorian” (47).
