New addition to ‘GZSZ’: Louis, returning from New Zealand, brings his girlfriend with him

After Maximilian Brown said goodbye to “Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten” (Mon-Fri, 7.40 p.m. RTL) and his role as Luis Ahrens two years ago, it seemed like the show’s creators wanted to keep the popular character open to returning to Kolle-Kiez one day. It’s finally time Monday: Lewis is back home from his trip through Australia and New Zealand. Now playing fan favorite Mark Weinman.

As RTL has now announced, Marc alias Luis has another new addition in its bags. Already on Thursday, September 30, Lewis’ friend, Myriam Behnke, will celebrate her first appearance on the show. The role of Miriam is played by Sarah Fox, who has already managed to get a taste of soap in a small role in “Everything Matters” in the past.

In an interview with RTL, the 28-year-old, who previously studied psychology and trained as an actress in Cologne, said what fans can expect from her debut on “GZSZ”: “Myriam would like to build a life with Louis in Berlin and have a good relationship.” Here’s where you get to know Louis’ mother Nina and older sister Tony, of course.”

Sarah Fox has a lot in common with fellow actor Mark Weinman: As the Cologne resident revealed in an interview with RTL, the two actors already knew each other: “We were in parallel classes at drama school and it was our first professional stage appearance while our training got to know each other and love each other. Some better!” She couldn’t believe her longtime friend was also dumped on “GZSZ.” “We saw it in front of us as a fictional scenario,” Fox said.
