Loire. The zoological space of Saint-Martin-la-Plaine celebrates its fiftieth anniversary with the public

It floats festively this weekend at Animal Space. And for good reason! 50 years ago, on July 23, 1972, Pierre and Elaine Teflon founded the zoo to collect and care for infected animals. Since its inception, the site has not stopped developing, installations and improvements in installations have been constant. To thank the audience for their continued support, several activities are planned for this weekend.

“Thanks to the public, the field of zoology still exists”

“It is important to celebrate this anniversary with the public because thanks to them the animal space still exists and developed. On July 23, 1972, the day of the opening, there were already 600 visitors. The public has a special relationship with the zoo because they know that the origin of this zoo is the love of animals, and that respect for the welfare of the animals Animals are what drives us,” explains Jeremy Boivin, pedagogy and animator. On this particular weekend, visitors were able to take advantage of the free Saturday entertainment, aimed primarily at the younger crowd. They were able to color a giant gorilla, participate in a creative workshop to make animal keyrings, apply their make-up, have their photo taken by an automatic station, and watch the movie on a giant screen. Garden history…

Visitors were delighted, noted Marie Noel, who turned 50 this year: “It’s a wonderful park. I attend at least once a year and see that investments are frequent, and there are often new things. Owners are concerned about the welfare of the animals. Lowry noted, 21, to a point: “It’s not a zoo like the others, we feel love and benevolence. And with the Tonga Association, they rescue and care for the animals.” The festivities continue today.
