Germany bans almost all arrivals from Portugal and Russia
Germany on Friday added Portugal and Russia to its list of “changing” countries, banning virtually all arrivals from those two countries. From Tuesday, only German citizens or permanent residents of Germany are allowed to enter the territory from these two countries, as rail, air, land or sea carriers are prohibited from carrying other types of passengers.
People who have been accepted into Germany will be forced to adhere to a two-week quarantine, even with a negative test in COVID-19.
alternate delta
Portugal and Russia are recording a sharp increase in cases of the delta type of coronavirus, which initially appeared in India and is more transmissible. Fourteen countries were already in the high-risk category, including Great Britain, India and Brazil.
