2022 is a very special year for Fotofreunde Herbrechtingen – in April the association celebrated its 50th anniversary. Since 1972, friends of photography and cinema at first, later friends of pictures, met regularly to exchange ideas about film and photography. From the beginning, the focus was on the good community of photography friends and the more diverse projects fostered the creativity of the members – films commissioned by the city still reminiscent of special events in Herbrechtingen and its surroundings; numerous trips together at home to other countries; Creative and varied exhibitions during an impressive 30 weeks of photography; Photography through the ages, initially in slides, later in digital form; Many colorful presentations for members; Successful placement in competitions and social gatherings of amateur photographers in club rooms, restaurants or at the annual summer party.

Brenz Creative Photography Club would like to celebrate 50 years of special events. This includes another anniversary: ​​the 30th photo week at Herbrechtingen 2022. From October 9 to 28, photo friends show “Best of!” Small creative exhibitions arising from the work of a special project. During the exhibition at the Citizens’ Hall of the Herbrechtingen Town Hall some special events for friends of portraits and well-known guest authors of the program:

Friday October 14th at 7.30 pm Photo friend Dr. Marcos Mons to New Zealand for a stereo audiovisual presentation. The amateur photographer presents breathtaking photos of the country at the end of the world.

Next trip on Saturday 22 October at 7pm with nature photographers Susan and Ralph Walter to North Friesland – A Journey Between Sea and Horizon. Photographers and filmmakers take you on a photographic journey into beautiful landscapes, to endless sandy beaches, to Frisian country life and a diverse world of birds.

As a highlight at the end of the 30th photography week, nature photographer Bernd Rumelt will take you on Friday, October 28 at 7 p.m. with a photo report on “The Magic of the North.” Bernd Rumelt has explored the Arctic Circle repeatedly for six years.
