Formula E: A wild finish to the race in Brazil

We had a full race finish at the Sao Paulo e Prix on Saturday in Brazil, with three guys battling it out for victory right up to the checkered flag. Mitch Evans triumphed in this exciting race, the sixth round of the Formula E season.

The Jaguar driver led fellow New Zealander Nick Cassidy with just four laps to go. The Envision team representative struggled to regain his position, but in vain. Sam Bird, Evans’ teammate, finished third.

Antonio Félix da Costa (Porsche) was also struggling at the top of the pack, but his direct drop dropped him a few points. The Portuguese recovered well to finish fourth.

The winner of the day secured the podium for the sixth consecutive season. It was a rocky start to the year for Evans, whose best finish was seventh in Saudi Arabia. Despite his victory, he is only ninth overall.

Cassidy closed out the leaders with 61 points. In front of him, Jake Dennis (Andretti) has been unable to collect points in the last three ePrix points and is still stuck at 62. Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche) remains firmly entrenched at the top with 86 points.

The electric formula drivers will take advantage of a month off before the two events in Berlin, Germany on April 22nd and 23rd.
