Finnair announces the opening of a brand new lounge in the Schengen area – Aviation News

This new salon will open its doors tomorrow, July 9, 2024.

Finnair has announced the opening of its newest lounge in the Schengen area at Helsinki Airport. The lounge, which will open tomorrow, July 9, is located near Gate 21.

Business Classic and Flex passengers, as well as Gold Finnair Plus members, will enjoy exclusive access to the new Finnair Business Lounge. This access can also be booked as an extra when booking your ticket via Manage Your Booking or the Finnair app.

Meri Jarvinen, Head of Customer Experience at the airport, said: “The new Finnair lounge offers more space and can comfortably accommodate up to 440 guests, approximately 150 more seats than the current lounge. The different areas have been specifically designed to meet different needs such as dining, working, relaxing and meeting up with your friends while you travel.”

Finnair's Chief Commercial Officer, Ole Orfer, said: We are pleased to announce the opening of the new Schengen Lounge, offering more space and comfort before take-off. In response to feedback from Finnair Plus members, the lounge also includes an exclusive Finnair Platinum area, dedicated to Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo members.
