SailGP is pleased to confirm that the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix will return to Christchurch for its fourth season – on the same dates, 23 and 24 March 2024. Tickets go on sale on Thursday 14 December (100 days of the event) at 10am NZT via Ticketek NZ .

Sir Russell Coates, CEO of SailGP, welcomed the news, saying: “After extensive consultation with our partners, we are pleased to confirm that the ITM New Zealand Sailing Grand Prix will once again be held at the stunning Whakaraupō, in Lyttelton Harbour.

“Christchurch has proven to be one of our best events to date – with great racing, thousands of fans and stunning scenery in the natural amphitheater. It is an ideal setting for the stadium-style and harbor-style racing that SailGP is known for around the world, and we are looking forward to Bringing more fans closer to the action with additional stands planned for next year’s event.

ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix | The City of Christchurch will transform Naval Point into a dynamic racing stadium hosting approximately 22,000 spectators over the weekend.

The Season 4 event will see the return of iconic fan experiences, including an expanded race course, grandstand seating area and the exclusive Platinum Turf. For the first time in Christchurch, fans will also be able to purchase behind-the-scenes tours of the SailGP team bases and technical areas.
