Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, announced by Météo-France for the next few days, The sThe Haut-Rhin barrier has launched a “extreme cold” plan from Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

In very cold weather, special measures are implemented (in addition to the 130 accommodations already mobilized as part of the Winter Contingency Plan):

  • the intensification of the intervention of the robbers at Colmar and Mulhouse with the guarantee of the French Red Cross and the Knights of Malta;
  • the possibility, if necessary, of additional care in emergency accommodation structures and hotels for people in vulnerable situations who call 115;
  • Long hours for daytime reception. SURSO day care is provided in Mulhouse Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. In Colmar, the daytime reception of the ESPOIR Society is open on weekdays from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Louis Laugier, prefect of Haut-Rhin, calls on everyone to be vigilant so that anyone in distress in the public space is reported to 115 (Free emergency call service 24 hours a day).
