Well, welcome everyone! There's a remake of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim kind of in the works.
Officially, there's no new release planned, at least not unless Bethesda has something planned for the new platforms. This wouldn't really be surprising, because despite the technological advances in gaming, Skyrim remains the most played game the developer has ever produced, surpassing even Starfield in terms of competitive players.
But Bethesda seems to be focusing on the next game in the series, The Elder Scrolls VI, and doesn't seem to plan on touching something that already works.
That doesn't stop fans though. Modders have taken Skyrim apart and reassembled it with a variety of changes and improvements, creating what they call a “next-gen” version of the game, and you can download it for free right now.
It brings many improvements to the game, not only for sound and picture quality, but also for gameplay features.
The mod pack will bring together all the latest and greatest graphics tweaks, giving Skyrim a realistic look that's worth exploring again just to see what's changed. Combat has also been improved to be more exciting than just a hacking game, as well as changes to character customization so you can truly make your Dragonborn your own.
To apply the mod pack to your copy of the game, you need to go to this website and follow the installation instructions, then you can enjoy the enchanting experience of this enhanced RPG.
Although it doesn't live up to some of the newer RPGs, like Baldur's Gate 3, it's definitely worth exploring if you're a fan of the game. Plus, The Elder Scrolls VI isn't expected to be released for a few years, so what can we do in the meantime?
The Nolvus mod pack is also compatible with other Nexus mods, as long as they do not conflict with each other.
