With a British sailing team Duchess Kate Compete in a race in the English Channel. Wearing a diving suit, the Queen’s great-grandson Prince William, wife of the Queen, ended up at sea off Plymouth on the catamaran of Olympic champion Ben Ainsley in front of Team New Zealand. Thousands watched the friendly match from the beach on Sunday.

Kate competed in a wetsuit sailing race.

The Duchess was in the port city in southwest England in her role as patron of the 1851 Trust, the charity of the UK’s SailGP. Helps young people aged 11-16 gain experience in science, technology, and engineering.

Ainsley praised Kate: “She’s a really good sailor,” said Sir Benn. I have sailed with her several times. But after Kate spent a lot of time talking to members of the SailGP race, he jokingly urged her to speed up: “Come on, we have a race to the race, my friend.” (buck/dpa)
