Donald Trump confirms he will debate Kamala Harris on ABC News on September 10

After his debate with the Democratic candidate was questioned, the Republican billionaire announced on Tuesday, August 27, that he would participate in this televised debate organized by ABC News on September 10, two months before the presidential election.

The duel will happen. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are scheduled to debate on Tuesday, September 10, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the eastern United States. The Republican candidate confirmed his attendance on Tuesday, August 27, in a message posted on his social network, Truth Social.

“I have reached an agreement with the radical left Democrats to debate with Comrade Kamala Harris,” wrote the billionaire, who accuses his rival of wanting to establish “communism” in America.

“The rules will be the same as those used in the CNN debate” that took place last July between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, before the White House occupant withdrew his candidacy.

This duel turned largely in favor of Donald Trump, who outmaneuvered the Democrat and quickly replaced him a few days later with Kamala Harris.

The debate between the vice president and Donald Trump will therefore be held without an audience and will be broadcast live. The candidates’ microphones will remain muted when they are not speaking, despite requests made by Kamala Harris’s team this week.

Next debate on Fox News or NBC News?

Donald Trump on Monday questioned his vice presidential debate and attacked ABC News. The former president's ire: the “ridiculous and biased” interview with Republican Sen. Tom Cotton conducted by journalist Jonathan Karl.

Donald Trump also suggests that ABC News, “Kamala’s best friend,” could provide Democrats with questions to ask candidates, as a CNN political consultant did in 2016 with Hillary Clinton.

Will there be another debate on Fox News? Donald Trump confirmed Tuesday that Kamala Harris is currently refusing to participate on Wednesday, September 4. But that date “is still up for grabs,” the Republican said. In addition, NBC News could organize a similar event in the coming weeks, but no agreement has yet been reached between the candidates.
