The new free digital platform FIFA +, which aims to bring football closer to fans around the world with first-class content, exclusively presents the documentary “Croatia: defining a nationDirected by Lewis Miles.

The film, which can be viewed from May 30, offers a close look at how football unified Croatia in the 1990s, when the nation was striving for political independence against all odds, and traces the development of the country and a group of players closely linked to the nation’s emergence through its sporting success.

A number of former Croatian national footballers such as Igor Stimak, Slavin Bilic and Zvonimir Boban, who embody this sporting and political chapter in the country like no one else, provide detailed insight.

The film was made for FIFA+ by acclaimed director Lewis Miles (Kaiser: The Greatest Footballer Never Play Football, Liverpool FC: The 30 Year Wait) with producers Mark Pougatch and Ana Muhar Blanquart, as well as David Kempshall and James Craggs.
