Corona or Trump resort
Mar-a-Lago is partially closed
The Mar Lago in Florida is considered a retreat for former US President Donald Trump. But now it has become uncomfortable in the luxury resort. Several employees are infected with Corona. As a precaution, the lights in the Beach Club and Dinner Room will be turned off until further notice.
The Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, made famous by former US President Donald Trump, has closed parts of the facility due to multiple cases of coronavirus in the workforce. This was reported by several US media outlets, citing a circular from management to club members sent on Friday.
After leaving the White House, Trump retired to the luxury property in Palm Beach. Since some employees recently tested positive for the virus, the beach club and luxury dining room have been temporarily closed, according to reports in the email. However, banquets and events are still possible.
Many guests are without a mask
No information has been provided on the number of infected staff members who are now said to be in quarantine. According to The Washington Post, dozens of employees work at Mar-a-Lago during the winter. The Trump Organization confirmed the partial closure of the plant in a statement to the newspaper, describing it as a “precautionary measure.”
Trump initially denied the danger the coronavirus posed at the start of the pandemic, then downplayed it for a long time and finally got sick with Covid-19 itself in the fall of last year. Additionally, the 74-year-old explained that he found wearing masks somewhat annoying.
According to Palm Beach’s infection control rules, guests at the luxury resort of Mar-a-Lago must wear face masks at all times, except when eating and drinking. Last weekend, there were two major fundraising events, according to The Washington Post. Trump was in one of them, and like most of the guests, according to the photos, he wore no mouth and nose protection.
